It’s getting easier to add our own faces into games, greeting cards and other online offerings. We’ve all seen those goofy customizable ElfYourself greeting cards that everyone and their mother were clogging email systems with last year. Well, the idea is spreading to other formats due to its extreme popularity and viral marketing stickiness. We’ve put together a list of 18 ways to quite literally get your head in the game.

- JibJab - Has been around a long time and was one of the first services to let you add your own noggin to their online greeting cards. Some of their humor is rather racy and not very family friendly, but sometimes their stuff is hilarious too. Being able to add yourself, your friends and family in the mix makes it even funnier. The only downside is that there isn’t a lot of free stuff anymore. You can create and share a few things but you will need a premium account in order to access most of the best material.

- MushyGushy - Obviously inspired by JibJab, but they do offer a great deal more free content than their predecessors. Their interface to makes it very easy to customize your photographs. It’s one of my favorite sites to visit with the kids because they have a blast with the results.
- Faceinhole - Provides a bunch of well-known images with faces cut out and ready for your mugshot of choice. It’s rather simple but the results can be funny.
- Fix8 - A little different than all the rest. You have to download its player which works with your webcam to record your face. It’s also not free, but there is a free 30-day trial period if you want to give it a test run with the kiddies. They sell additional avatars and accessories to decorate yourself. - Camroid - Lets you use snapshots from your webcam to create some funny effects. You can share them easily with anyone too. It’s similar to the PhotoBooth app that Mac users enjoy.
- Phozi - Yet another service that lets you have fun with your snapshots from your webcam and you can embed the results on your online profiles.
- Gizmoz - Lets you animate any photo you upload as well as record your own voice to create a little movie scene. Here’s an example.

- BeFunky - Allows you to transform your photo into a cartoon version which is all the rage these days with online profiles and avatars on Twitter.
- MyHeritage Face Recognition is a cool morphing service that will let you morph your photo into any celebrity that most resembles you!
- All My Magic - Offers two picture editing tools called PhotoGenie and WizCard that let create images for your online profiles like MySpace.
- Putty Face - Upload a photo of your face (or a friend) and play with it like silly putty with hilarious results.
- Diary of the Dead Zombie Face Changer - Takes a while to load but it’s worth the wait if you’re the type of sicko that enjoys mutilating their own photo to look like a dead person.
- Piki Kids - Creates a comic strip with you and your friends.
- Create Your Own Yearbook Picture - Create a high school yearbook picture with your own photo. From the movie “Just Friends.”
- MagMyPic - Lets you create magazine covers with your photo or anyone else’s that you want. Cool and easy.
- GlassGiant - Offers several different types of things you can do to your headshots such as creating a Most Wanted poster, snow globes, a jumbotron and more.
- Glogster - Provides the ability to create professional looking posters with your image of choice.
- Insert-a-photo Dart Board - Just for fun, this dart board will let you use any photo you want as the bull’s eye, such as your boss or ex-girlfriend.

Look for many more sites and online services to offer the ability to customize their experience with your own photographs, audio and video. Gamers have been enjoying this for years. For example, many years ago EA Sports provided the ability to customize a player’s face so it would look like you by simply adding your own photo. More games have started to provide this personalization feature which makes the gaming experience more enjoyable.
