What it does

About2FindOut is a trivia site with a 2.o slant. You’ll not only get to rear heads with other brains out there, you’ll also get to create your own questions and present them to friends around the globe. The site operates via four color coded zones. The first is the pink Quiz Zone; here anyone can answer questions and earn or lose points. Next, we’ve got the green Author Zone in which members can create new questions and earn points there from. The blue Club Zone is the social networking section; here members can register for free, create a profile, round up some friends, and send messages. Finally, there’s the yellow Help Zone, which as you can guess is for finding answers to your questions. You don’t have to sign up to take the quizzes. The difficulty level ranges from simple to difficult—you’ll usually get a mix of levels in each quiz. Even if you’re a smartypants About2FindOut will keep you on your heels.

Thanks for the article. It is indeed also a ‘learning’ site in disguise so I do hope people learn about the trivia (and themselves) while playing. To answer your very pertinent question: how do we ensure the answers are correct? At present, there is a link ‘I think it is wrong’ that sends a message to the author and admin. The author can reply or change the question. So far about 10 of the 700 questions needed correction. Admins also can edit questions for spelling mistakes or to correct them. So far this works out. The idea is later to make people who reach a certain level of points (and thus are good quizzers), able to edit and correct questions.
